Short Track Legend Apolo Ohno also has high praise for John-Henry’s coach, saying that he’s got  “one of the best coaches in the world.  Jae Su Chun was my coach

John-Henry Krueger takes Gold at Apolo Ohno Invitational

(Pittsburgh, PA) – When the man whose name is on the competition says prior to the race that a certain speedskater is   “fantastic” , it can create high, often unrealistic expectations, particularly if that man is speedskating legend Apolo Ohno.  No matter, as Pittsburgh’s own John-Henry Krueger lived up to the praise bestowed on him by his boyhood hero by taking the Gold Medal in the men’s 1000-meter short-track final at the inaugural Apolo Ohno Invitational held this past Friday in Salt Lake City. I didn’t want to be behind in the race and mess around with collisions, so I took a simpler but harder approach by leading up in front,”   said Krueger.   “It’s what got me the gold today.” Krueger has had quite the start to the 2014-2015 short-track speedskating season.  Coming off his first ever individual World Cup medal when he won gold in the 500-meter final in Salt Lake City a mere two weeks ago, the #1 ranked short-track skater in the country followed that up with a bronze

(Pittsburgh, PA) – Pittsburgh natives Cole and John-Henry Krueger are making quite a name for themselves in the sport of short-track speedskating.  Now training in Salt Lake City full-time with the Salt Lake International Speedskating Academy ( www.slispeedskating.com ), the brothers recently qualified for US Speedskating’s 2014-2015 World Cup Team, with John-Henry ranked #1 and Cole ranked #4 in the country.  This past weekend at the first World Cup competition of the season held in Salt Lake City, their hard work and dedication began paying dividends. In the 500-meter final, John-Henry grabbed gold, besting reigning 500m Olympic champion Victor An, who was penalized in the race for impeding another skater.  Krueger had battled An all weekend long in the qualifying races leading up to the final.  John-Henry then went on to pace Team USA to a bronze medal in the men’s 5000-meter relay final alongside his brother Cole, and teammates Ryan Pivirotto and Keith Carroll. “We had a

Homeowners Association Boards

On a regular basis I am asked to answer questions about community association law submitted to various publications by their readers.  Recently I answered the following question for the publication  AssociationHelpNow : Q:    “Is it necessary to keep all board members in the loop?  We have five board members but only four officers.  Do we need to keep the fifth one in the loop?  We don’t like the way this board member does things and he/she is a rebel, and we’d rather not have this board member’s input on everything.  Can we just email this board member the results of what we are doing?” A:    “Every board member has the right to be included in all decision-making and governance of the association.  A majority of the board cannot, and definitely should not, exclude another board member from the decision-making process.  This includes the duty to provide adequate notice of board meetings to every board member as outlined in your governing documents.  While the actions of a majorit
